i have rug burn on my toes

sooooooooooooooooooooo the shoot... was... interesting... the initial idea was shoot some documentary style footage ... and take still photos and digital video side by side then animated the stills and video into paper one plane animation with the super 8 on a tripod... if that makes any sense to you.. cuz in my mind it make perfect sense.. not in the group members reallly.. they understood after.. soo the whole doc idea got thrown out because the day got kinda boring soo it turned into a doc/narrative sci-fiction white trash type subculture shoot. i think the idea of quazi doc/narrative is very interesting .. blurring lines is only human. in my mind i tried to match the folk sound of our band midnight poncho with a kind of home movie feeling but i also didnt want to show anyones faces,but getting these shots became harder than i thought ... but i had all these masks which were going to be part of my self portrait somehow again with the "faceless" concept but that didnt work but it seemed to fit this sort of harmony korine style home movie feel i guess i was going... for the first shot was of an old 8mm projector going along with this .. "ever changing reality" (quote from the song) home movie the next was a man in a hoody pouring out a beer in a lawn chair with a clear mask on. i really liked the look of the "faceless" outcast so we went with it. going on to shoot hooded youths walking down a one way street.. how cliche .(the song is called wrong directions) i couldnt resist it's subtle tho i was trying not beat people over the face with narrative action in sinc with lyric and symbolic street sign bullshit.. pretentious i kno..sooo we saved one roll of super 8 purely for animation.. which was a learning experience. i had done my 2 plane animation in 6x1 but i dont own glax and apple boxes and i was kinda trying to get something else out of it .. like a kind of rotoscoping with only scissors and paper .. re-photographing the already recorded and putting it into a new form .. like i said it was a hail mary. all in all the shoot went well even tho my concept was alittle abstract i think everyone enjoyed the process and all memebers of our group put in their time.. as much as u would have thought id be dealing with brads bullshit he delt with alot more of mine .. i get carried away i think it will turn out good tho .. then end
